We offer overnight petsitting in your home only. We do not offer boarding in our own homes at this time. Our overnights are 12 hour, usually from 7pm-7am or 8pm-8am but we can adjust as needed to suit your babies schedule! You can add on as many 30 min or hour visits in between our 12 hour overnights as you would like for an additional fee per visit. Pricing may vary depending on distance and number of animals.
🐾We offer dog walking services while you’re at work or away and drop in visits while you’re away for feeding and potty breaks etc!
🐾We offer pet transportation to and from the vet, grooming salon and doggie day care or anywhere your pet needs to go!
For overnights and drop ins we service Greenville, certain parts of Greer, Taylors, Piedmont, Pelzer, parts of Mauldin, parts of Easley, and parts of Simpsonville. For weekly dogs walks and drop ins while you’re at work we tend to stick to our service area pretty closely as we have a lot of babies to visit between 11am and 2pm so we stick to Greenville, certain parts of Mauldin, and Piedmont. If you aren’t sure if you’re in our service area just shoot us a message!
Unfortunately we do not offer 24/7 petsitting at this time. We all have many other visits and overnights where we are needed as well as families at home that require our attention. If you would like 24/7 care I have several recommendations so just send me a message!

You can set up services as far in advance as you like! I always say the sooner the better especially for summer and holidays! There are quite a few of us doing visits and overnights so we usually can squeeze you in short notice but better safe than sorry! For new clients we require a meet and greet before services can begin and with our busy schedule and often needing multiple sitters to attend a meet and greet we prefer over a week notice to get you scheduled and get a meeting set up!
We have several wonderful ladies that help out on the Barktastic team! Dawn (owner), Lacey (visits/overnights), Dru (overnights/visits), Amy (overnights/visits), Kayla (overnights), Zen (overnights), Ashley (visits), Shannon (overnights), Susan (overnights), Kathy (overnights/visits), Georgianna (visits), Felicia (overnights/visits), and Susan H. (Visits). When I (Dawn) get a request from a new client I check our schedule and see who we have available. Then I will schedule a meet and greet always with myself and whoever will be helping with your entire stay so you can meet anyone who will be entering your home! We will never allow any sitter to enter your home that has not been approved by you first! Some clients are totally fine with us introducing new people on our own while others prefer to meet them! Either situation is fine! If I see that on your next service we will need a different person who you haven’t met before to help out with visits I will always ask to see what you prefer! Typically if our schedule allows it I try to keep a maximum of 3 different people performing one service so as not to overwhelm the animals with too many different friends coming in and out!
Some of our sitters have been background checked while others haven’t in quite a long time due to the length of time each sitter has been with the company. If you would like a background check done just let Dawn know and she would be happy to do that along with provide references for each individual sitter!
Again keep in mind that most sitters are close friends and family that have been with the company for many years. We are all very close with our love for these fur clients and in constant contact with one another.
Each sitter we have must have previous experience and knowledge of all animals. Most sitters have Petsitting experience but some also may have vet, grooming, krennel,or daycare experience as well. Each sitter is insured and bonded through Barktastic as well as first aid and CPR certified. They are also trained prior to beginning in animal safety, common medications, animal behavior etc.
To book a meet and greet simply text Dawn at 864-520-4335 to set up your service and pay the deposit and we will get you added for a meet and greet!
-Due to an increase in demand with new clients as well as our current busy scheudle we only have options for 30 min meet and greets! If you would like to schedule a meet and greet for longer our pricing will be listed below.
We DO NOT offer meet and greets without a service being booked UNLESS you would like to pay for a “visit” for us to come by and meet you.
Meet and greet without service being booked: $22/30min or $32/hour
-If you do book a service after the meet and greet we will deduct this fee off your total balance
So we have paperwork that we fill out each time we come to a meet and greet. We will see where their food is, water bowls, leashes, etc. Don’t worry about getting everything together for us, we will have plenty of questions when we get there! I take notes and add all the info to our online Pet Pocketbook portal so you can view it anytime or edit it if anything changes! If you want us to use a key to enter your home please have one of those ready for us!
We have many different options! You can hide a key, give us a spare key and I can make copies for the other sitters coming in, door code, garage code, MyQ app, or we can txt you and you can let us in using your smart phone for those advanced houses 😉
You can pay before or after whatever you prefer! Our most preferred method is Venmo but we have many other options! Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, Quickbooks invoice with credit or debit card, Auto pay or invoice through our online Pet Pocketbook Or cash! For our regular weekly clients that are scheduled each week continuously I will typically send an invoice on Friday by whichever payment method you choose or on the last day of your service for the week!
Yes! We send picture or video updates at each visit! At our first meet and greet I will send you the contact info for each sitter who will be performing services for your pets so you can save their number!
Currently we only offer discount for clients who book 3 times a week or more on a regular basis.
🐾CANCELLATIONS:
Up until this point I have not enforced any cancellation policies for visits or overnights due to the fact that we have very considerate clients who are respectful of our time but again due to a high volume of late cancellations we will now be charging cancellation fees
This will be used to compensate our sitters for lost wages during the time they would have had a pet sit and also compensate for any cancelled plans as a result of the sitters commitment to the pet sit.
Fees are as follows…
Cancellation fees:
**These fees also apply if you return home early from a trip with the same fee schedule**
*7 days or before your scheduled service: no charge
*6 to 4 days before your scheduled service: 25% of your scheduled service
(example: your scheduled service was a total of $525 your fee would be $131.25)
*72 hours/3 days before your scheduled service: 50% of your scheduled service (example: your scheduled service was a total of $250 your fee would be $125
*Less than 72 hours/3 days notice: 100% of your scheduled service
Exceptions to the cancellation fees:
-Loss of pet or pets that we would be caring for during the scheduled service
-Damage to the home we would be staying in due to unforeseen circumstances such as fire, natural disaster etc
Due to a high volume of last minute requests recently and our already full schedule we will now be adding a fee onto “last minute” requests.
Last minute requests are considered ANY visits or set of visits or overnights that are not requested at least 5 days before the start date, with the exception of weekly scheduled clients* see below for more info.
Our schedules are very full and it is not easy for myself or the other sitters to cover visits outside of our already finished weekly schedule as the schedule is completed for our sitters on Sunday so they can make their own personal plans and appointments
With that in mind, each “last minute” drop in visit will be charged a $5 fee for 1 drop in visit, for a set of several visits or last minute overnights you will be charged a flat $30 fee for the whole set of visits/overnights
This charge allows us to cover any time needed to add these in at the last minute as well as allows us to give the sitters compensation for any plans that are cancelled due to trying to fit in last minute requests.
Keep in mind, even with the last minute requests fees there is NO guarantee that we can add in additional visits to our schedule so to be on the safe side please request any visits and overnights at least 5 days in advance outside of emergency requests.
* for weekly scheduled clients any visit not scheduled with at least 24 hour notice will be considered a “last min request” and will be subject to the same fees as above*
🎄Holiday Fees 🎇
Effective Oct 1 2023 (will apply to all holidays after Oct 2023)
We are introducing holiday fees in an effort to show our support and appreciation to our sitters during the holiday season!
Here is the additional fee applied to all holidays going forward, I will also be sending an email from petpocketbook!
For Overnights:
$10 per night will be added during the following periods
Thanksgiving 11/23-11/26
Christmas 12/23-12/25
New Years 12/30-1/1
Independence Day 7/3-7/5
For Visits (drop in visits):
$5 per visit will be added on the following days:
Thanksgiving Day 11/23 (will vary each year)
Christmas Eve/Day Dec 24 and 25
New Years Dec 31 and Jan 1
Independence Day July 4th
🐾ACESS TO HOMES BY OTHERS WHILE SITTERS ARE PROVIDING SERVICES
Many times we will have clients that have neighbors, friends and family assist with visits for our clients pets while they are away and that is totally fine! As long as no other person will be in the home during our scheduled service we have no problem with accommodating this to cut down on cost for our clients etc.
However, if anyone else is living in the home with you or will be staying in the home while we provide services such as a roommate, family member, friend or ANYONE we must be notified that they will be in the home while we are there or that there is a possibility that they have access and could come home at any time and be present while we are there!
We now require that you let us know up front when you book the service that another person could be in the home while we are providing services.
If you fail to inform us of this information it is possible that we will be unable to render services from that point on depending on the level of comfort a sitter feels inside your home.
Barktastic will not put our sitters in situations where they feel unsafe due to strangers in the home. We are all single women coming into a home and it is highly uncomfortable for many women to be in a home alone with strangers.
It is entirely up to the sitters that are assigned to your services discretion whether they feel comfortable providing services or to continue providing services after we have begun a pet sit.
Keep in mind that if you choose not to provide us with the information that there could be others inside your home we reserve the right to stop providing services for the duration of the pet sit and you must find an alternative solution for your pets care during that time.
